Ennis, Montana is about halfway between Bozeman and West Yellowstone, Montana - population ~ 1,000!  It's a traditional hunting area for the Shoshone, Flathead and Bannack Indians with lots of elk and mule deer.  Founded in 1863 by William Ennis as part of the gold rush.  Today it's primarily cattle country with Herefords and Black Angus.
